BS Australia’s Northern Division operates five strategically-placed processing facilities as well as five feedlots across Queensland and New South Wales, with access to an extensive network of quality cattle. Our network provides the ability to meet the specific demands of various market segments with an extensive range of grain-fed and pasture-fed products. Location: Mungindi Feedlot is strategically located on the Queensland – New South Wales border 132 kilometres west of Goondiwindi in a prime grain, cotton and livestock production area. The feedlot is licensed to carry 22,500 head with a current capacity of 12,500 head turning off approximately 33,000 head per annum. About the role: JBS is looking for a talented individual that is ready to take the next step in their feedlot career. The operations supervisor role, is a unique opportunity to utilise your existing experience in feed milling, livestock management and operational skills to drive the performance of the JBS Mungindi Feedlot. Working closely with the feedlot manager and the small but dedicated team, you will be responsible for supervising the day to day operations across the site. We are looking for team player with a focus on safety, delivering high quality results and adherence to all compliance requirements across the site. You need to be able to build and maintain strategic business relationships across JBS and with local stakeholders and suppliers. Responsibilities: Oversee all operational day to day activities in the Mill, Livestock, Maintenance and Environmental functional areas at Mungindi Feedlot Manage the feedlot staff ensuring they are high performing, motivated and working safely as a cohesive team Ensure awareness of all Company HR, WHS, Training, Environmental and QA requirements relevant to feedlot operations within JBS Ensure daily activities within the Mill, Livestock, Maintenance and Environmental functional areas are conducted in line with the Company Policies and Procedures to achieve quality and productivity expectations Oversee staff development and training to build a high performing team Assist in managing operating expenses in line with budgets. Assist in managing commodity and consumable inventories on a regular basis. Systems are in place that allow timely reporting of all necessary issues operational, financial and regulatory.
